Parents and guardians will need to bring the following documents and forms to enroll a child in their neighborhood school. Read further down for details.

What School will your child be attending?

Kindergarten
To enter Kindergarten, children must be 5 by July 31. We are now registering children for Kindergarten who are born between Aug. 1, 2017 and July 31, 2018. (For the 23-24 School Year)

Transfer from another Hawai'i School
Advise your current school as much in advance as possible that you will be transferring your child. They will prepare paperwork and forward it to our school after you have registered with us.
While you will not need all the documents listed above but you will need proof of current address and any custodial legal documents if appropriate.

Konawaena Elementary School District
Children will attend school in the district in which they reside. Our school district is roughly from Ha'awina Street in Keauhou on the North to Kalamalani Place in Captain Cook to the South. Please call the school for specifics. Use the above school locator as a guideline.
Geographic Exceptions may be applied for and are awarded dependent on availability.
Please allow ample time when registering your student. Students should not be registered on the day you expect them to start school. This allows paperwork to be processed and the Teacher time to prepare for their new student so that students feel welcome and expected on the first day.
