Keiki Nurse/Health Services

Do you ever not get your child to the doctor because it days to get an appointment or you canʻt easily get time off work to get them there? Do you hesitate, wondering if it is serious enough to take them to the doctor?

Konawaena Elementary has a school based health program operated by Hawaii Keiki Health and Ready to Learn. The Hawaii Keiki program has a Nurse Practitioner available to treat students during the school day from minor injuries to acute illnesses. Medications can also be prescribed for your child, if needed and electronically sent to your preferred pharmacy. The clinic space at the school also has a variety of over the counter and emergency medications readily available. The program is free but requires your consent. Children are not treated without contacting a parent by telephone. You can visit the Hawaii Keiki Program website.

A Hawaii Keiki Consent & TCS form are required before your student can be treated at school (see attached forms).

Please complete and submit to the office in person, via fax to 808-323-4551, or email to [email protected].
